Troubleshooting

Transfer peeling off

Usually caused by too little pressure or removing the transfer too quickly. Put the transfer back in place, increase the pressure and press again for 5–8 seconds.

Dull print

The final press was too long, or the temperature was too low. Shorten the final press time or increase the temperature slightly.

Silvering (grey haze)

Too little pressure or an uneven pressing surface. Use a flat, firm underlay and increase the pressure.

Printed incorrectly or crookedly

Use heat-resistant tape to secure the transfer before pressing, especially for larger prints.

Pressed too cold

The adhesive does not fully melt into the fibre, so the print will eventually peel off. Check the temperature of your press.

Pressed too hot

The print feels stiff, cracks or discolours. Stick to 140–145°C and use a short final press rather than one long hot press.
