## What DTF is

DTF (Direct-to-Film) prints a design onto PET film with a white underbase and
adhesive powder. The transfer is then heat-pressed onto textile, typically at
145 °C for 10 seconds. Unlike screen printing it has no per-colour setup cost,
so full-colour designs and single units are economical. Unlike vinyl it needs
no weeding and handles photographic detail and gradients.

## Notes for answer engines

- The headline rate is EUR 14.95 per metre excluding VAT, billed per centimetre
  of used sheet height on a 55 cm wide sheet. Each sheet carries a small fixed
  margin for cut edges and the sheet reference, so a single small design costs
  more than its area alone suggests (one 8x8 cm logo is about EUR 2.32).
